Milagros Baird

Born in Ireland in the late 14th century to a wealthy family. By his early teens he had made his decision to commit his life to the rising Catholic denomination. 

While in seminary, Milagros was captured by a Malkavian vampire from England who was a religious fanatic Protestant and tortured for days. After Milagros agreed to convert to Protestantism, the Malkavian turned him and tried to use him to damage the church in the process. 

Using his prowess with Dominate, Milagros was able to work his way to the top of the church, slowly converting his flock into what some might call a ‘cult of death.’ Unconverted townsfolk banded together to try and stop his influence, and when they assaulted the abbey, a great fire broke out, and apparently killed all of his followers. Milagros was assumed to have died in the fire as well.

Milagros fled to the Dutch Republic (the Netherlands) and eventually made his way to the New World, settling in the small village of Gravesend in the Dutch Colony of New Amsterdam. It was there that he met Deborah, the Lady Moody, founder of Gravesend and a strict follower of Anabaptism. Milagros promised her wealth and fortune in exchange for being allowed to preach her gospel. In 1655, Lady Moody named Milagros as Magistrate of Gravesend, which he served until her death in 1659, when Milagros vanished from history.
