Overview

One of several and the strongest of the Hobgoblin nations of the central-lands, Khekir is a nation of formidable military might, a feat it has needed to hold onto its position as the only hobgoblin nation that is still in the fertile region of Veris. 

Khekir is currently ruled by Grand Commander Roknorac The Render, son of Grand Commander Roknorac the Conqueror, who forcibly unified several smaller hobgoblin tribes into one nation, and once forced the "Outsider" nations of Vane and Flore into a ceasefire, earning the hobgoblins 1/3rd of the city of Vrada. Each city within the territory is ruled with an iron fist by a general that was appointed by the Grand Commander themselves.themselves, such as General Orlov of Vrada, the general who drew Vane and Flore to a draw and claimed one third of the city as hobgoblin territory. 

Khekir has been more diplomatic than the other hobgoblin nations, being the only one of of them that will trade openly with non-hobgoblins opening up relations with Vane since their taking of Vrada, dealing in trade, accepting payments to protect the raillines that have been built through their territory. although they share the hatred that most hobgoblins have of mages, and the relationship between them and Flore have remained tense. 

Although Khekir has been at peace with its neighbors since their taking of Vrada, there are constant grumbles of restarting the wars, especially as many think that Grand Commander Roknorac will want to leave his own mark on Hobgoblin history like his father did.
