When The Four slew the Titan Moramu, her mountain sized body draconic crashed into the earth, creating a crator over 30 miles wide and pushing the earth below into a ridge if mountains now known as Titans Ridge.

Moramu's eternally decaying body still lies in this crater, rotten flesh and viscera constantly sloughing off her sun bleached skeleton. This gore can form the Gnolls, terrible monstrosities born of Moramu's influence who almost mindlessly seek to cause destruction and death, trying to spread themselves, and their mothers influence ever farther.

During the Age Of The Four, a ward created by Veria kept the Gnolls and the corrupting influence of the Moramu contained. When she disappeared after The Betrayal, so did the ward containing Moramu and her influence,influence which began to spread over the northern plains,plains turning them into a chaotic swamp of decay.

During the rise and reign of the Verial empire, the Verial elves used advanced magic and magicite to create a drying field around the titan, to slow the advance of the gnolls by depriving them of the enviroment that thier titan would prefer, but turning the swamp in to a dry wastelands, a state that it is still in today.

After their revival, Emaria, one of The FourEmaria surrounded Moramu's corpse in a dome made of brambles with wallswell over a mile thick and full of plant plant-based guardians in an attempt to stem the slowly growing tide of emerging Gnolls and to once more make the region beyond somewhat safe.
