Summary

Centuries ago, the near return of a dark god led to the total collapse of The Runelands, the emergence of a long dead empire and death of Abadar shattered the once powerful New Hope, and the swarming magical energy and change caused by a shifting balance of cosmic powers changed the actual face of the world. As the iron lands to the north have been restored with primordial wilds, the rusty runoff that once fed Runic River has vanished, leaving the once mighty river dry and a canyon, only hundreds of feet deep, but miles wide cutting across the land. Increased, although still sparse rainfall in the Deadlands, combined with its plethora of natural minerals have led to an explosion in its settlement and conflict with its inhabitants, and have brought people ever closer to the White Remains, the ever decaying body of Moramu, now encased in brambles so dense they are said to be impassable. In the southern coastal plains, what was once home to a single hegemony is now full of a multitude of nation states, the native Kastian Goblins again have a nation of their own once more, as do the Orcs and hobgoblins, alongside the more "standard" races that once made up New Hope, and Kerris. As things have settled, people have begun to push and explore farther into the vast continent, discovering A vast expanse of plateaus, mountains and flooded valleys, with hundreds of lakes, thousands of waterfalls flowing over stark, mossy cliffs, farther west
